Wooden gable vents by Kimball Design are manufactured using Cedar, Redwood, Cypress or Pine. Standard shapes are octagon, round, half round, rectangle, tombstone and triangle or pitched. All gable vents are constructed using selected clear lumber, exterior glue, staples and aluminum screen wire. All joints are carefuly mitred. All surfaces are sanded unless rough is requested. Strength, appearance and longevity are central to our product design. Vent box measures approximately 1/2 in. under stated size, making the stated size the "RO" or rough opening. Box depth is 3 in.. Face casing is 2 3/4" wide by 3/4" thick flat stock with square edges, which extend beyond the box width 1 7/8" on all sides. Brick molding can be substituted.
